竞争的英文作文【精选6篇】

Competition - Article One

Competition is an inherent and essential aspect of human nature. It is a driving force that pushes individuals to strive for excellence, to constantly improve and surpass their own limits. However, competition can also have negative effects, leading to stress, jealousy, and even unethical behavior. In this article, we will explore both the positive and negative aspects of competition.

On the positive side, competition fosters innovation and progress. When individuals or organizations compete against each other, they are motivated to find new and better ways of doing things. This leads to advancements in technology, science, and various industries. For example, the rivalry between tech giants Apple and Samsung has resulted in the development of groundbreaking smartphones and other innovative products.

Competition also encourages personal growth and development. When individuals compete against others who are equally skilled or more talented, they are pushed to work harder, to acquire new skills, and to expand their knowledge. This constant striving for improvement leads to self-improvement and personal growth. Athletes, for instance, train relentlessly to outperform their competitors, resulting in record-breaking performances and achievements.

However, competition can also have negative consequences. It can create excessive stress and pressure, leading to burnout and mental health issues. When the sole focus is on winning and surpassing others, individuals may neglect their own well-being and prioritize success at any cost. This intense pressure can be detrimental to one's physical and mental health.

Moreover, competition can breed jealousy and animosity among individuals. When the desire to win becomes all-consuming, it can lead to unethical behavior such as cheating, sabotage, and manipulation. This not only undermines the integrity of the competition but also damages relationships and erodes trust among competitors.

In conclusion, competition is a double-edged sword. While it has the power to drive innovation, personal growth, and progress, it also carries the risk of excessive stress, jealousy, and unethical behavior. It is important for individuals and society to strike a balance, encouraging healthy competition that promotes growth and innovation while ensuring the well-being and integrity of all participants.

Competition - Article Two

Competition is often perceived as a cutthroat battle where individuals or groups vie for supremacy. However, competition can also be a catalyst for collaboration and cooperation. In this article, we will explore the positive aspects of competition that foster collaboration and how it can lead to collective success.

One of the most significant benefits of competition is the exchange of ideas and knowledge. When individuals or organizations compete against each other, they are compelled to think creatively and find new solutions to problems. Through this process, they often discover innovative approaches that can benefit not only themselves but also others in the field. This knowledge sharing and collaboration can result in collective advancements and progress.

Competition also brings people together, forging alliances and partnerships. When faced with a common competitor or challenge, individuals or groups may join forces to overcome obstacles and achieve shared goals. This collaboration can lead to the pooling of resources, expertise, and networks, enabling participants to achieve more collectively than they could individually. For example, in the space exploration industry, various countries have collaborated to build and operate the International Space Station, advancing scientific knowledge and technological capabilities.

Furthermore, competition can foster a sense of community and camaraderie. When individuals compete in a healthy and respectful manner, it creates a supportive environment where participants motivate and inspire each other. This sense of community encourages individuals to strive for excellence while also providing a network of support and encouragement. In sports, for instance, athletes often form friendships and bonds with their competitors, forming a tight-knit community that celebrates achievements and supports each other during setbacks.

In conclusion, competition can be a catalyst for collaboration and collective success. By fostering the exchange of ideas, forging alliances, and creating a sense of community, competition can drive progress and advancements that benefit not only the competitors but also society as a whole. It is essential to recognize and cultivate the positive aspects of competition to create a harmonious and productive environment where collaboration and competition can coexist.

竞争的英文作文 篇三

Competition makes people original and creative. It very necessary to compete if human society wants to advance. (Even animals compete for survival.) Without it, we would become lazy and nobody would rake any responsibility. When three monks live together, there will be no drinking water. This Chinese proverb vividly describes why China's productivity was so low before Mr Deng came to power. At that time, we had the so-called planned economy. There was no competition at all. So neither farmers nor workers worked hard. China was on the edge of collapse.

Competition can stimulate people to try their best to do anything. For example, in 100-meter race, each sportsman runs as quickly as possible, trying to win the champion. The same things happen in our society and in our daily life. If a company wants to surpass others, it must compete with them. It must raise its efficiency. All the companies doing this will no doubt benefit the whole society and the whole human race. Being a student, I must compete with other students in our studies. I must study hard in all the fields so that I can be a useful man when I enter the society after graduation.

竞争的英文作文 篇四

Competition is a common phenomenon in our society. We compete when we play games, we compete in our study, and we constantly compete for jobs, customers and profit, etc. We can say that competition is one of the motives of the development of society.

But we often find competition and cooperation go hand in hand. In a football game, one team is competing with the other. But each member of the team is cooperating with his teammates. In most cases, we can't compete without cooperation. Thus they are equally important.

While we are advocating competition, we can't forget cooperation. Nothing can be carried to an extreme. Pure and exclusive competition leads to failure. Only when competition combines with cooperation can it help in obtaining our goals and satisfying our needs.

竞争的英文作文 篇五

Near my house, there lives a woman who is the same age with my mother. She has a daughter, we are at the same age, the coincidence is that we go to the same school. The woman always comes to my house, she likes to compare her daughter with me.

I really hate being compared, I just want to live my own life.

竞争的英文作文 篇六

Gao Kao is a Chinese version of college entrance examination. Once it was probably the most important event in Chinese students' life, and it is still to some students. It is optional whether to attend this exams or not, so the choice lies in each student. Now more and more students start to take this choice seriously, and disreputes arose. As for me, attending Gao Kao is a better choice.

Firstly, college education is a necessity for each student, and one can only get enrolled in a college in China with a score of Gao Kao. Secondly, preparing Gao Kao is a very valuable experience to help us grow, exactly for the reason that it is not a little trying and harsh. Lastly, unless better opportunity arise, applying for native colleges is the best choice for us to embrace a propectful future, which makes attending Gao Kao a necessity for each of us who choose to receive education home in China.

All in all, it depends whether attending Gao Kao is the best choice, but for me and other who haven't plan to receive overseas education, there is no doubt that it is a necessity and an opportunity to make our way in the society.
