　　大约是初中，我们在生物课上做过这么一个实验：把草履虫放进培养皿，一头放盐水，一头放营养液，然后草履虫都盯着营养液那边去了，实验证明了草履虫的应激反应。大约如此。

　　这个故事当然远不只是草履虫的故事

　　早上我起来刷牙，看到杯子里一根新牙膏，顺手拿来就用，结果刚入口就发现不对，没有味道，一片空白。我的味觉顿时产生了一种不快的收缩。就像全然的预期突然消失，长久的固有习惯一下子落空了，无法适应。接着一阵茫然无措，无法说明。然后理智开始登场，说这是很好的一种观察，可以发现有机体的模式和习惯，于是，语言接管了感官。

　　连一根舌头都有一个单独的.运作中心，一个独立的脑。它的模式和所有的机体都是一样，以感受为基础，以习惯模式为支撑。它的反应和那些草履虫并没有什么本质差别。
