My Summer Vacation
Day 1: July 1st
Today was the first day of my summer vacation, and I couldn't be more excited! I woke up early in the morning, feeling refreshed and ready for a fun-filled day ahead. After having a quick breakfast, I met up with my friends at the park. We decided to spend the day playing outdoor games and enjoying the sunshine. We played soccer, flew kites, and even had a friendly water balloon fight. It was such a great way to kick off the summer!
Day 5: July 5th
The past few days have been quite eventful. On July 2nd, my family and I went to the beach for a day of sun, sand, and surf. We built sandcastles, swam in the crystal-clear water, and even had a picnic on the shore. It was such a relaxing day, and I felt so lucky to have such a beautiful place to enjoy.
On July 3rd and 4th, we celebrated Independence Day. My parents hosted a barbecue party in our backyard, inviting all of our friends and neighbors. We had a delicious feast of hamburgers, hot dogs, and grilled vegetables. As the sun set, we gathered around a bonfire and watched an amazing fireworks display. It was truly a memorable experience.
Day 10: July 10th
I can't believe it's already been ten days since the start of my summer vacation! Time really does fly when you're having fun. Today, I decided to spend the day at home, catching up on some reading and practicing my guitar skills. I've been learning to play the guitar for a few months now, and I wanted to make the most of my free time to improve my skills. It was a relaxing and productive day, and I felt a sense of accomplishment.

Today, my family and I went on a day trip to a nearby amusement park. We rode roller coasters, played carnival games, and indulged in delicious treats. How time flies! Today was the forth day since I came here. Everyday was different. Today Mr. Brodie let us Wtch a movie. It’s called “pride and prejudice”. The heroine was very beautiful and clever. The environment was beautiful too. The movie was interesting but I thought our teacher was more lovely than it.
Miss Zhang taught us grammer. It was difficult but important. So we must learn it. It was important for us to learn English. It helped us to talk with foreigners.
In the night, we will have an exam about vocabulary. Our teacher said it was easy so I am sure I can do it well.

On Saturday afternoon, we watched the movie Forrest Gump in the classroom. It’s a good movie. It’s very moving, sad and happy. You can learn a lot from the movie. Forrest is stupid but he’s also very clever.
On Sunday we had singing contest. I am one of the contesants. My song’s name is One Love. It’s a song of Blue, a British music group. I went into the “Final Seven”. But other contestants were really excellent. I didn’t get any prizes. Another contestant from our class called Candy was the third-place winner. Congratulations to her! Though I didn’t get prizes, I was very happy. I tried my best.

Today is an exciting day. In the morning we had the singing contest. Everyone did well in it. Somebody sans lyrics and somebody didn’t. When the result came out, only Audrey and Ellison could be in the second run. Vanessa was very sad. But finally she was in the second run. It was really great news for her.
We stayed in our rooms for the whole afternoon. We played cards, slept, read, practiced some English songs for the contest and did out homework. It was a little boring.
In the evening, we had the final singing contest. It was really great. At last, Vanessa got the second prize. Congratulations to her! All of us were proud of her. Edle gave her a bunch of flowers! Then we returned to our rooms.

There is also a park near the center of the town. My favorite place is the youth center. I often go there with my friends after school. There are lots of things to do there and I am always busy.
I like going into town on my bicycle. The town is near the sea. I sometimes go swimming in summer when it’s warm and sunny. There is not much pollution in the town because cars cannot go into the center of the town.

Today I went to a new class.Here I met many new faces. At first, I felt a little afraid and uncomfortable. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be accepted here, that I would have problems getting on well with others, that I couldn’t catch up with others, and that I couldn’t understand new teachers and classmates.
Now I know I was wrong. Just as the first class begin, as the first word the teacher said to me, as the first smile appeared on my face, I realized I had been a ‘real’member of this class.
But there are things I’m not yet used to, such as I don’t know a lot of words, and I always do things slowly. My ears are not good, but I’ve tried to catch every word the teacher says, and I can mostly understand her, and I usually know what she wants us to do, though a few words are not known.
I’ll try my best to follow my teacher and classmates and someday I can walk with them side by side, I believe.

Matt told us that when he was in high school, he also take part in American football. He had broken his fingers for three times and his leg for once. Today is Wednesday. It’s the third day of the summer camp. The weather isn
’t very good. It reined all the time, and the wind blowed strongly. So I don’t feel happy. And the umbrella is too small for two persons my sister and me water always fell down into my shoes, so my feet got wet. It’s uncomfortable. I think it was really a bad day.
Today, we saw two films, but we only saw half of them. Lion King is very interesting. Tomorrow we will finish watching that. I hope this will get a good ending. Also our Chinese teacher changed a lot. I started to listen to his lessons.
This evening, we three taught Cathy about the language in my hometown. We said a word and then she guessed. She is really very clever. She can understand most of me said, and Mr.Zhang told us something about the ways to study English. I don’t agree with him. I think everyone has his (her) own best way to study English, right?
I hope tomorrow it will be sunny and we can travel around Zhejiang University, I hope so.
